lawyer!

wahaha, i woke up this morning because of a call from irma. OFFERING ME A JOB! woohoo, one week job! become a translator for a lawyer! (: (: (: (: this is like another job exposure, only this time related to law :p and this time i got paid! ayyyayyy. THANKS IRMA! haha, i think i go too happy i go spend like shit again :p

so actually i got another pair of shoe today -.- okay la its not actually a pair, but its two different shoes :p cos i buy one and oe buy one then we swap xD haha, roomates.. xD its abit funny though, cos the shoes are not only different in colors, but also in the design! so maybe people will think i steal the shoe from somewhere :p but darn i spend again. its just ytd that i put 'another pair of shoe' to my shopping list.

ooh, and lets see how much i earn by the end of this week, if possible, ill get a PSP by then :p but then again, STJ coming this saturday! haha gonna spend again.

so tmr will be another job with lawyer, and at 6pm will be the promoter training (: yay, starting to get busy! i love this (:

treatment!

today, again, i accompany the fabboy around singapore. today he went to take his LOI and applied for his LOC. he got his LOC, means he can work already! and he is applying for SVP tmr. i got everything already :D hehehe.

and today actually slacked quite alot, ate sushi at cine with wenhao and oe, then met darius to crap all the way to the night. yea, slack. hahaha. and yep, next week will start working as the promoter. oh man, sorry tutees, but i gotta reschedule. SORRY! :x

the troublesome ulcer that lies strategically in between the 2 lips, making them rub against their own even without any movement! constant pain. opening my mouth means stretching it, and its ARGH. pain-o-level = 7

after medication with kenalog, covers the whole ulcer with some white thingy. surprisingly, now i can open my mouth big big and close them without any pain! but yea, i cant do anything while the white thing is there. and the feeling of having something there is irritating.

haha, so i hope it heals fast! if after 5 days it haven't heal yet, the instruction says go to doctor, cos i cant use the medicine for longer than 5 days. yesss. and right now, i can feel the one on the tongue is getting bigger. oh man, time to treat another one after this one heals.

HAHA, unemployment seems really boring i keep talking about my ulcer! if it doesnt heal by monday, oh man, my costumer wont be able to comprehend my words xD (not like i can speak well either) :p

OH and im accepted to NTU-Georgia tech BEng (EEE) & MS (ECE). yea. never state any scholarship. but i know that i din get the IDA scholarship ): sad man. medicine interview also no more. lalala, i dont really know what step to take next. maybe buying PSP will be a good start. huh?

today was quite fun. spent most of the day accompanying the phat guy around singapore. going from admiralty, to chinatown, to buona vista, to chatsworth rd, to lucky plaza, to CJC, then to Jurong west. (:

did his LOI today, so hopefully he can work la :p haha, if not, bye bye man, ure going to get more perfect. i mean perfect circle. then we went to the restaurant where Oe and amos work, got discounted price plus extra food and drinks. best la. my ulcers are on the way of eating ): then we went CJC to badminton our food away (: just realised i cant hit the shuttle while wearing my contacts. so i changed back to specs :p then we went jurong west to bowl! haha, not bad lah not bad, suddenly got the urge of playing because we keep talking about bowling king the comic xD

and we 3 found a job tgt. haha, its promoter for sony walkman, but next week will do for toshiba laptop. quite fun eh? but the working time is ridiculous, i dont want to lose my tuition jobs. howwww.. grrr..

oh and i cant wait to get a portable console for me. haha, once i get my job (or my pay) i will straight away buy a console! hahaha, okay, my consideration now, shd i get PSP or NDS?! haha, readers, help me choose! xD

my boring days

ohh, unemployment quite suck though, i prefer working life! not only because of the $$$$ (altho is impt :P) but also all the social life! hmm, having nothing to do is quite pissing me off.

the days of the month has come already. no, not that. but my ulcers are coming back. hahaha, for those who doesnt know yet, i have periodic ulcers. they usually come in threes. and they usually take arnd 2-3 weeks to dissapear. worst is they are always located at weird weird places. lets see, i thought my last ulcers was worst.

it was quite painful as in everytime i eat, it kept rubbing with my wisdom tooth behind there. even when i open/close my mouth, the friction is PAINFUL. hahaha. BUT now, i guess its more painful (or maybe because i forgot how does it feel last time)


it is on the end, the meeting part of the upper and lower lips! even the slightest movement of the lip, i can feel it already. dont talk about eating, where you need to open your mouth considerably big to let the spoon goes into your mouth. you can feel ur ulcer being stretched. ugh. and there are 2 more, 1 on the tongue, and the other one at the other side of the inner cheek. best. left right middle all got ulcer, how i eat. psst, brushing teeth is even worse. ):

hopefully its not hand-foot-mouth disease -.- the case currently is exploding. thousands over one week xD

HAHAHA, okay that was random. mainly because i dont really know what to post :p so tmr ill be getting my new passport! then ill be going to CJC to badminton away my evening with the usual people (: yoohoo..

today was quite interesting though, met wenhao and ryan (to become the crazy trio) hahaha, and went frantically circling the classified page to find job. calling every number we can see, rotational basis. finally, upon dunno-how-many ads, got one company willing to interview us! haha, it was some promoting sony at best denki -.- okay la, at least awhile, before finding a better job. but its still not confirmed though. the irritating thing is about being a foreigner. 1 in a 100 companies accepts foreigner ): thats why when u ask around it seems so easy to get a job, but not for us foreigners! xD damn the girls who can get PR without NS. HAHAHA..

then after the interview, we went to catch the no.1 box office movie in US this week, THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM. yes, i think it was good! especially the fighting scenes. as what you can expect from both jetli and jackie. plot was also good, no dissapointing moments. maybe except the lame inspiration sentences (sometimes) and of course, guess what is the best part of the show? THE SUBTITLE. without it, dont even think of watching. haha.

okay, i got some new pics for the NJ people who havent go back in a long time, so u wont be so shocked when u finally see it and think you go to a wrong JC :P

currently, you cannot use the phrase "i wait for you at the round table", particularly because the phrase "round table" is no longer pointing to one area only.

as u walk up, looking at our usual control room. the view from outside is still as ugly as before xD haha, but look at the artistic jutting in and out wall, quite nice huh, maybe if they change our window to something more sophisticated and expensive looking, itll be even much better.

and this is the view on top! stage, sadly, didnt change much. or maybe, HAVENT. haha, so, be surprised (: oh and btw, now there are 3 types of house lightings! in the past, they have usual house light, and step lights. now, they added more nice lighting! the wall lights! so, the purpose of the jutting in and out walls is because there are lights inside the jutting out walls! nice huh? :p

feeling scared

uh oh i just watched saw IV. its kinda freaky. in terms of gory-ness, i guess this one is really gory, is on the par with all the saw series. but this time i watched it alone :\ right now i feel so scared. ahhh.. nooo.. although i cant really watch properly because i need to make sure the others dont see what i watch. but, really the plot is still as good as ever. i must try to recall those episodes before though, i kinda forgot already. and i wanna watch it all over again, still alot of parts not clear. :\

so basically today went with pa la, archery, then school, then vivo. and not baddd, the number of people who go is acceptable, in fact, quite good! too bad there was no j1s at all just now, haiya, what will be the future of pa. hahaha. but its okay i guess, its a saturday after all. and the price and size of the hoodie will be confirmed around next week, then ordering and payment will be open also (:

and im so sad theres no news from medicine. should i wait for another year and apply to overseas? malaysia for example?

last day.

ahh, last day already. ): ): ): ): ): ): i really enjoyed this attachment, thanks to all the doctors who guided me everyday. i really really want to be a doctor now :\ nvm, shall talk about that later. i wanna put all the memories into words first before i forget.

today, the last day, im attached to dr lee guan huei, a gastro registrar. all i can say about him is that he is very friendly, and very patient! among all the doctors im with, he is the one who explained about the medical stuffs to me! although he said, there is no point of he explaining to me cos 1st, small chance ill be accepted into med sch, 2nd even if im accepted, i may not take gastro. but in the end, he really answers all my questions and explain to me about EVERYTHING! today was whole day of scopes, and EVERY scopes he explain to me everything. so so nice. now i think i can read scopes! abitabit :p

first few hrs was ward rounds, with dr lee and also prof ho. because he is a registrar, he need to explain the patient condition to prof ho, so he have no time to explain to me, it end fast. then we went for liver biopsy! i din know that the technique to do a liver biopsy is very unique! with 3 tries, he managed to get a clean sample of the liver tissues. first, he inject the anesthesia, and at the same time try to locate where is the liver. after that, he took something that looked like a penknive to make a small cut. then he use a bigger syringe, go through the cut, locate the liver, ask the person to inhale, at with one swift motion he push the large needle in, using some force, and taking it out with a little bit of suction. then the tissue will be inside the syringe. woo exciting. and then we went for scopes! the most interesting scopes in this whole week. (:

scoped from around 11am till 9pm today. whoee, but it was not at all boring! because dr lee was so nice he let me stand beside him and he keep explaining. very interesting, eye opening, and he told me alot of thing about medical stuffs (:

i got to see, as usual, some polyps, that he removed using a hot snare, and hot forceps. there was this patient with 3 humongous (relatively) polyps around the antrum, really big and red. dr lee asked a consultant for her opinion, scared that it is malignant and will cause excessive bleeding. finally he only took multiple biopsies from there and also some urease test. still bleed quite alot.

i got to also see some ulcers, both at duodenum and stomach. theres one particular big ulcer on one persons incisura, i guess its really painful cos theres alot of stomach acid there :X removed with adrenaline injection (to contract the blood vessels) and then using heater probe to burn the ulcer.

there is this one particular lady who i really pity, everyone think she is abit crazy, and also bulimic, totally skinny, and when we enter her oesophagus, from upper to lower, all evidence of acid reflux. scary. really. when we enter the stomach, it was full of food leftover, we were saying, this lady never do her preparation well maybe, still drink and eat. but as we continue to go through, sucking all the liquids to find the antrum (entrance to the duodenum) we cant find it! and finally something appear beneath the food leftovers: entrance to the antrum, just that it is blocked, by a huge tumor. and dr lee, after seeing it, said that more than 90% chance that it is malignant. took multiple biopsies, sent for histology. never proceed to duodenum because even the food cannot go through. i cant imagine the pain and the vomitting she endured. :x i must take care of my body.

theres one unusual case also, one man, when we enter the antrum, we saw two ways! left and right! (if you know, there should only be one way, which is to the duodenum.) it turns out to be a really really big diverticulum. (which usually is found in the ending part of the colon, sigmoid) lucky dr lee can tell which one is the diverticulum (theres a vegetable stuck there), and to entertain my request, he removed the vegetable xD haha, i complained that if it is left there, later there will be infection xD haha, he told me he is not required to remove it (because anyway later something will get stuck again) but he still remove it because of my request! wah i feel so honored :p, anyway, if you enter the wrong hole, the thin lining can burst. and the person will straight away be sent to the emergency surgery. haha.

haha, yea, stayed all the way till the end today! finally! i feel so accomplished. it was really fun. i wish i can be a doctor one day :\ i wanna scope myself! haha, dr lee said that to get from stomach to the intestines, theres one research said that it depends on how long u spent gaming! HAHAHA, i feel quite confident now :p haha, it was so fun predicting how many dose of midazolam and fentanyl to give to the patients, and the nurses went higher and higher as the night come, so fun lah! keep laughing, i helped to push the patients down too! haha, keep making fun of the patients xD oops actually cant do that. and joke joke with dr lee too :p and the nurses keep calling me doctor also. ahhahaha, so so fun, they are funny :p

aniwae i just confirmed that coffee doesnt work on me! grr, today drank 2 cups during the endoscopy, when i got onto the bus, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.. hahaha, i want to adjust myself to doctor working hours (which means no lunch, and dinner at weird hours and coffee all the way xD)

and i met dr martha again today! in surgical outfit, she said it was her pajamas! haha, she is still a house officer, 3 days per week stayover in hospital. she again said to me if im not 100% sure, dont apply. dr lee also said that.

but im 100% sure now :x grr. irritating.

okay now lets talk about yesterday.

wards and clinics, nvm la, not so exciting, the exciting part was the liver transplant surgery. its killer! hmm we started at 1pm. liver is harvested at around 10am in the morning, so, dr chang started to cut the patient. different from what i thot it will be (with a scalpel like in movies), they used some heat/electicity thing to burn and cut. and i tell u, the intestines really flows out when the stomach is opened. the small intestines. haha, if u cant take it i guess u will throw up. the medical student beside me said that during her first year, when she saw the internal organs, the colors, etc, she cant eat chicken for one whole month. traumatized. haha, she asked me what i feel when i look at all those, (small intestines, large intestines, liver, bile, stomach, etc) i dunno what to say, i dont really feel anything. haha, she asked me whehter i feel dizzy. i said no. and she also asked me wheter im okay with the smell

(got alot of different smells in hospital, the one i really like is the alcohol swab smell xD, and different wards got different smell, different division got different smells, of course during surgery got blood smell, and the strongest smell is the burnt tissue smell. which fortunately, is the same smell if you ever used an electric racket to burn a mosquito/fly, yea that smell. and also fortunately, i like that smell xD) haha, so its quite a pleasant smell in there (except when u start thinking that its human flesh :P)

so, what can u see basically is the overflowing small intestines, the jejunum. and also small part of the large intestines. the abdominal muscle and tissue is quite thick, (therefore i conclude that the comic, battle royale is completely fake.) yea, and its really quite disgusting, the flesh. one gory part is also when they pull the rib upwards with a retractor. it just look like its breaking xD oh and this time, the surgery was bloody. bloodily BLOODY. during the time i left, the blood sucked out is nearing 5L. imagine. bloody. and its spurting out here and there, on the surgeons robe, gloves, and even eyes. but seriously, i dont mind being a surgeon (: although i prefer just being a doctor. haha, you really should see. not for the faint hearted, but if i were to say, after you see the real thing, the ones in the movies seems like a PG show.

but maybe i also need to thank saw, saw II, saw III, saw IV, hostel, and hostel II, and other gory movies for their training xD ahahahahahahah.. no, wenhao im not a hannibal lector.

so basically, 1pm we started, and at 4pm, dr chang was requested at the other OT, so i followed him. when i went into the other OT and see the body, it was even more gory. hahaa. the stomach is opened, totally opened i mean, like u cut them in the centre with a + symbol, and then retract all the corners, and bring it up. so there is like a BIG hole in the stomach, and all is pulled up! wah, when i see, i was like, woa crap man, so eerie.

ok i managed to somewhat illustrate it. ahahaha.

but i learnt alot of things too (: like how to scrub, green means sterile, etc etc. but anyway not important. being a great surgeon, dr chang quickly finish it and by 530 he is back at the liver transplant. but theres one irritating surgeon, again from india, took over dr changs place. wth.i bet hes the one making it so slow. dr chang said that probably by 5pm, the new liver will be in. but in the end, at 6pm, the old liver came out. it took 1.5 hrs more to close all the open veins and arteries, at 730, the new liver is put in, and by 830 perfusion of liver is completed. but theres still a long way to go and dr chang ask me to leave first. haha, so i left at 10pm. where the operation havent finish yet.

it was definitely an eye opener experience. that made me die die wanna be a doctor now :X okay, i dont mind wasting one year and try to find other alternatives to pursue my dreams (: pray for me! (x

(: haha, thats really like a major major surgery i guess :p so i just reached home! x.x and the transplant is not even finished yet i think :\ i feel so bad for leaving early. haha, anyway, its just so late! i guess i need to sleep soon, tmr last day ):

HAHA, i din get to take the picture of me wearing the surgical gown today xD haha, u know the blue one that you wear from infront then u tie behind xD haha, fun fun xD

hmm, so today was a full day with dr. reuben! really very exciting today! its not boring at all (: okay, details! haha.. (to mok: too bad my blog always got details)

so i came quite early and called dr reuben, he said go to ward 64 first and join dr eric and the others first before he came for rounds. YEP, and so i tagged with dr martha this morning. no wonder i find the face familiar, she is from indo too! haha, from padang. she went to med school in canada and came here to work. (: so she is a house officer, when she did her rounds i went with her. oh she is VERY NICE! she keep explaining to me the patients one by one, even let me help her do things like listen to the abnormal heartbeat and compare with my own :p haha. YAY for her, really thanks alot for the lesson!

when dr reuben come, do usual rounds, then we went to his clinic. okay, now i admit it gets boring at this part, i almost fell asleep. NOT THAT his consultation is boring, its just when the person is more comfortable with chinese, i will be like this -> o.O throughout the whole session. haha, but when its english, im wide awake and its really interesting to see him diagnose and help the patients. (: theres this one particular patient who is very anxious who keep saying theres a lump on his rectum. finally dr reuben dig dig and see see also nothing xD haha, anxious patient. maybe im one of those.

after clinic was the fun part! scoping! WHOOHOOO, endoscopy! EGD and colonoscopy! dr reuben was very kind to explain to me which part which part (: so, here goes the procedure! first, the person is given an anasthesia, a lidocaine spray, sprayed on the throat (pharynx) and told to not swallow for around 10 seconds. after that, the patient will swallow the liquid. then, they will be given mild sedative, i forgot whats the name ): haha, the first patient refuse! i dont know what he want -.- after all is ready, stable heartbeat rate and bp, then the nurse will do the timeout, confirming patient and the type of endoscopy. after everything is settled, the doctor will insert the endoscope from the mouth! then he will look at the screen, at the same time keep pushing the scope further inside, and with the other hand, control the movement of the scope. its really like playing games with complicated, damn complicated controller. you can turn and turn around the camera, so sometimes you will work in mirror image, where up is down and left is right! haha, i feel like trying it! test my gaming skill in the real world :p haha. okay so first stop was the esophagus. this is the worst part where you are asked to swallow to create and opening for the scope to come in. based on my view, its quite painful, almost all of the patients coughed like they got choked. haha, but i guess its okay. after that, its quite simple and the patient wont feel much. on the esophagus, he will take a picture. then we will arrive at GE junction, where he took another photo, and then goes to the stomach. taking 4 photos of the stomach, cardia, fundus, corpus and antrum, before proceeding to the duodenum where he take the last pictures. at D1 and D2.

and sometimes, i mean almost all the times, biopsy is needed. its quite cute you see, the biopsy forceps will come out at the corner of the screen, he will push it close to the wall (or whatever he want to take the sample) then he will ask the nurse to open the teeth, close, and he will pull out the meat. of course itll bleed. sometimes a little, sometimes alot. haha. when you look at it, itll be quite eerie, esp when u are on the bed, looking at your bleeding esophagus/stomach wall.

oh and when there is polyps, its even worse, you need to remove it. either burn it, or snare it, or remove it piece by piece with the forceps. there were 2 cases of polyps today. one is removed with he forceps and the other one is burnt off. whoa, extreme accuracy and precision. nice work. oh before removal, dilute adrenaline is injected into the polyp.

ahh, okay shit its getting late i need to sleep! but let me finish this first. then we also do some colonoscopy, which means endoscopy of the colon, which must start from the anus. i guess its abit more uncomfy xD and abit more painful when you blow air inside to inflate/ dilate the colon. alot of the patients tear, one of them even keep saying, "pain pain" "its going to burst", scary. so, it goes from rectum, goes trough descending colon, transverse, then ascending, then goes to the caecum, see the appendix and then stop at ileum. (i think)

last patient was quite scary, done the endoscopy numerous of times but cant find the source of bleeding. today, dr reuben found it! woo! and theres alot of crap things in the colonoscopy. haha.

okay i really must go and sleep, tmr going surgical division again, i dowan to fall asleep. ahh 2 more days ):

a surgeon wannabe!

Today, im a surgeon.

haha, just joking. :p (i shdnt even take the photo xD), today my schedule was ward rounds, then go inside the OT (operating theatre) to see see look look :p WOOHHOOO.

today im with a surgeon, HPB (hepatobilliary surgeon). DR. CHANG. (read CHENG). haha, whoa, i think he is a good surgeon! (not like the other one xP, refer to below). todays ward rounds was abit funny because we went to a ward at kent ridge hall (where one patient get one room) and there was this family from makassar (thats in sulawesi), who can't speak english. haha, dr. chang tried to speak malay but they cant really get it (his malay not as good as dr. reuben n dr.dan), and there was another girl MO who is totally clueless. and of course as you can guess, i become the translator -.- hahaha, not bad la i feel quite useful :p explaining the procedure of the medication (chemotherapy and biopsy) and the risks involved, after the patient understand then they are allowed to sign the paper. the patient got a liver cancer that unfortunately is spreading to his lungs. ( i just hope i dont translate wrongly xD) haha, im stuck at the word 'research' though xD hahaha..

after that, dr. chang brought me to the changing room and ask me to wear the cool cool coolest attire. SURGEON attire xD haha, the full blue uniform! (refer to the pic up there :p) and guess what is the footwear? crocs sandals. xD woohoo, but i tell u, the blue uniform is just so thin! im freezing the whole day! :S so so, first i went to OR 3, to look at dr chang performing laparoscopic surgery to remove the person's gallbladder. as it is not a open surgery, everyone is looking at the 2 screens, including me. haha. OH YA, before that, they went to scrub themselves! ahh, i din get to scrub and become sterile xD haha, so i can only watch at the sides. but it was real fun! a short 1 hour surgery, involving cutting open the belly button, making 3 holes on the stomach, controlling 3 laparoscopes that are inserted from the 3 holes, looking at the camera, inserted from the bellyy button. then with the laparoscopes he cut the gall bladder, at the same time closed the wound inside, and collected the gallstones. all with the laparoscopes. i bet he is good at video games too! hahaha, imagine, controlling 3 long laparoscopes, looking only at a screen (that cant even show everything). haha, finally he got everything, put it inside a plastic bag, and then pull it out from the belly button, then he stitch back the belly button and the 3 holes. all done in 1 hr. great surgeon.

then he said to me, "you want to go dinner with me, or go watch another operation?" haha, of course i said, "WATCH ANOTHER ONE!" haha, turns out to be a wrong answer xD hahaha.. so, i went to OR 8 this time. i clearly remembered it was around 12am. the operation has started at 10am. it was an open surgery, colon cancer, that has already spread to the liver, causing another cancer. undergone chemo, so now removal of the cancer. yep, 2 hr has passed, the stomach is already opened. i can see the liver and intestines! WOOOO, its like WOW. :D darned cool. but then, yes, i dunno whats the problem but the operation is taking damn hell alot of time! by 2 oclock, there was some stitches inside, and cut the liver abit. so after that, i dunno what they do till 330. i was dead bored. then suddenly the patient condition went down! woah, its like on movies xD hahaha, the blood pressure become unstable, etc etc, but i guess, the surgery was quite safe, (at least is not a cardiac surgery). so u know what they do? WAIT. if it goes stable, continue, if not, cancel. CRAZY, wait again. 415, they decided to continue. slowly cut, burn, stitch, till 630, they barely finish cutting. the MO beside me said, havent ressect yet, still quite long. T.T i wanna cry already, feel damn cold, damn sleepy and bored. like what the BLEH? im in there for more than 6 hrs alr watching them slowly operate! maybe they are still operating now. -.- and so i found this!

"A liver resection takes approximately 3-5 hours and can be performed without the need for blood transfusion (see bloodless surgery). Up to 75% of the liver tissue can be safely removed. The hospital stay is about 5 days and complete recovery occurs in 5-6 weeks. The resected liver regenerates to its preoperative size in 6-8 weeks. Excellent results from liver resections are usually achieved. "


3-5 hrs? SURE NOT?! haha, and this surgery also got blood transfusion. hah, the doctor is from india university i guess. NOT IMPLYING ANYTHING xD

overall, this was quite an eye opening experience. i guess the feeling will be different if im the one holding the knives xD, or even, the ones holding the clampers (which are the interns). ah i hope to be one oneday. and of course, ill be different if ure the one whos stomach being opened xD haha, i must take care of myself! today is my first day doing the job shadowing/attachment in NUH! to sum it up, it is fun and enjoyable (:

im attached to the gastro department, today was with the GI/liver division. i did ward rounds with the consultants today and also clinics. wanna give a big THANK YOU to Dr. Reuben and Dr. Dan for all the lesson i learnt today! thanks for being so kind and so nice (: haha, i guess thats how a doctor must be :p

ward rounds was fun! going to each bed and checking on the patients. i was abit blur when it comes to acronyms and medical terms. GRR, i hate it, i must learn more so i wont be that blur tmr! and my aim is that by friday, i can understand HALF of what they are talking about :p haha, first ward rounds is with dr. reuben. he got flu today, viral infection, cant talk much. haha, so i just watch and see and learn (:

then it was clinics with dr. dan! woo, he is such a good doctor. nice to patients, (nice to me also), and also nice to the sisters. very good rapport with the patients. haha, clinics was interesting, many patients are follow-up, so i cant catch their previous diagnosis. haha, but AGAIN, i cant understand most of the termss!! xD haha, crap im so lousy. the simpler ones i think i know. hmm, irritable bowel syndrome is a common case. hepatitis cases too. there was only one with carcinoma.

after that i went in for their meeting. first was reviewing slides for teaching, done by a registrar. i got the main thing, but when he go to details, my eyes went heavy. after that is the real meeting, my eyes went heavier. hahaha, lucky then dr dan ask me to go up first to wait for him for another ward rounds, this time with him.

went for another rounds with dr dan, and three other medical officers. hmm, i guess medical officers are one rank lower below registrar. issit? UK term senior field officer, US term interns. issit correct? i dont know. one from india, another one from singapore. woah the one from india university talk alot, like he knows alot. haha, most of the result from the checkup are in short terms and im very blur at that. oh, theres one patient with HCC (Hepatocellular carcinoma). scary. but this time the ward rounds are exactly like i imagined! the resident/MO will read the datas, provide their diagnosis, the consultant/attendings will ask questions, prompt them, require them to think, then provide his analysis. its so WOW! great.. ahh, i want to be one of the interns XD haha, at the end, he briefed the MOs, "you must disagree with me, if you only agree, you can only be as good as me." xD haha, seriously i think he is a good doctor! haha, i wish i had spent 6 yrs in med sch alr, and then provide my opinions xD hahahaha.. now, i can only stone and watch :S

THANKS once again to the doctors! haha, now i know that the higher the rank, the nicer they become. some MOs are not friendly at all! they are just MOs! but all the consultants and senior consultants are very very nice. HAH! looking fwd for tmr! its clinics+OT :O oh i cant waitttt! (:

one day, there was a man fishing lobster. he just caught one lobster when an officer come to ask for his license to fish. then he said that he is not fishing there, he said that the lobster is his pet, he came here everyday, whistle at the sea and the lobster will jump out and he will take it for a walk, then at the end of the day return it to the sea. the officer couldn't believe his story. so the man tell the officer to see for himself and he threw the lobster back into the sea. the officer then say, "okay now whistle and call your pet lobster to come to you." the man said, "lobster? what lobster?"

okay! second, pa dinner today! haha, was okayyy lah, to be honest. not say very very fun. very hard to get everyone together la, some of them prefer to not mix. grr. why ah, i also dont know, sometimes its quite easy, everyone just talk. sometimes its damn hard. but nevermind.

so first, i went to control to meet them to go together to go to the monkey place. they were having meeting so i went to listen for awhile. got me grace and samuel there listening to them, quite funny :p so anyway then we took 151 and crapped alot on the bus! including misleading levon to drop at the wrong stop, reading letters from her angel, and taking unglam photos of grace (and yineng tgt) and making grace angry. haha, busride was really funny.

then we went to eat at munchie monkey, maybe its the chair position la, or the loud music noise. we were quite separated from each other, and its not condusive to talk. ahh, so when we decided to change place it was already too late. anyway, xiaozhi was great! haha, love the absolutely zero by mraz. we went to the central library after that and me and grace ate the donut, and talked awhile before we went home.

it seriously sucked. i stayed at the house the whole day today infront of the laptop.

okay, actually im infront of the laptop cos i did some reformatting and rebuilding my laptop from scratch. haha, okay so my laptop is not so bad now lah. sure can tahan till i get the new one when i get into uni (:

anywae the school job is screwed. i dont think i can get it. ):

and tmr im going to apply for SVP with oe, but then after that nothing to do ): haha, ah being unemployed is so sad. i wanna apply for CITIBANK CLEAR CARD! haha, so at least i can pay online :p and yep, i needa wait till uni before i can apply.

first unemployed day

im officially unemployed! yes ): keith called to say that the school cant hire me for an unknown period of time in which he refuse/dont even know when he can hire me. this is like holding on imaginary rope ): i want the job, so i need to wait. but i need to find other jobs too! but if i find another job then suddenly NJ accept me, what should i do? this is so crap. ah, nvm, i shall endure the 1 week of unemployment and then a week of HOPEFULLY job shadowing, and then we will see what happens (: ah, no, i contribute to the unemployment rate again!

but the first day was quite busy. went school early in the morning to pass the physics notes money to mel to pass to simon, and then marked my last assignment and returned them to 08s21, and then practically slacked the whole afternoon stoning and sleeping in control. on 1 something, when sidegate opened, i rushed to beautyworld.

went up to level 3 and straight to the POSB branch. my first enquiry was "the book has ended, i wanna change to a new book." then the questions continued "can i change my card too?" "what is this GO! card" "what are the adv and disadv?" "can i change my signature?" "and oh i wanna change address" haha, so finally i got myself a new POSB card! POSB GO! hehe, and its a mastercard too in a sense, so now i can sign bills xD hehehe.. hope noone steals cos now they dont need pin to pay :S

took 66 to simlim square then, after 1 hr + of searching, finally i settled in a shop that looks quite professional and i think the person know his stuffs well. so i got my laptop a new fan, (i lost the internal fan rmb?) and so now my laptop is running at its normal speed! WOOYEA! haha, but it costs me $95. just for a small small, maybe like 50cm square fan. what the. haha, but the person is kind enough to answer all my questions and also change some spoiled screws. yea, i gonna start going there when something goes wrong again :p tried to find the shop where niclim buy the cheap microSD, but cant seem to find it but the price are all around that price. didnt buy that. instead i got some blank cds, a GLASER mouse (it sux, dont buy), and a phone case. haha, waste money on the first day of unemployment! ):

then took the mrt to meet oe at orchard to have dinner with some friends. quite alot! and i also got to know some new people! :D like oe said, now we need to look for connection. haha, i din think of that, im still thinking of new skills to learn! i wanna learn computer languages, i wanna learn some new sports, surfing, skateboarding, dancing. ahhhh. okay basically we went to cathay's billy bombers to eat our dinner. it was very fun with them, although we just knew each other but we can talk nonstop. hehe. nice meeting new people (: nice meeting different people with different life, we can learn from each and everyone of them (:

parted and went to take 171 with oe. on the bus met an aerius councillor (that i dont really know) with her friend, i was wearing NJ PE TSHIRT and GREY PANTS for GOD's sake, and she laughed at me, haha, so me and oe started a short convo to remove the weird atmosphere. oh, we sat on the 4 seater. haha, after she went down, we went to talk with the friend. its moonie if i dont get it wrong :p haha, she is a very fun person i guess, from the short 5 mins chat. haha, hope can see her again xD after that we went to amos place and hang around awhile before we decided to run for the last bus/train.

and here i am, reached home at 1, and straight away go to the newly born laptop after bathing. oh tmr should be boring. anyone wanna date me. :x

SATURDAY! as usual in the morning i went to elaines place for tutoring her brother. the subject was about graph, gradient, etc etc, wah so basic i cant explain alr! hahaa, not important. after the tuition then i help elaine to do some stuffs on her computer and help her scan things too! i get to play with elaine's baby sister! and i forgot her name again :x haha, but she is cute! at first she is scared of me! but after that she is not scared animore! haha, theres photos too! (: anyway, in the end stayed too long and elaine's parent came back. haha, im scared. so then i hurry elaine to go! then we go to jurong point to eat lunch, and took 174.

reached the maingate bustop at around 2.30pm, walked in for the MLDDS drama production. surprisingly, the main crew was not there!!!! apparently they got softball i think -.- grrrrr.. so final rehearsal was a screwup, i think. and suddenly mazalan called me and ask me to follow his car to tanglin sec to take more wireless mic. haha, he drive like super fast because the drama almost start. so i went back to tanglin and start unscrewing their system and took out some receivers (: went back to NJ for the drama, mazalan was quite nervous during the event and he is quite fierce with the crew. grr. but i think, overall, it was a successful event without any major screwup. smoothly done. great job, ziquan, siyuan, hsiangwei, huzaifah and mervyn (:. real great. we packed the equipment, played a bit of bridge in the control and then we head to the sidegate to go home.

at sidegate, we jumped one by one, i jumped first and nic the last. levon and elaine managed to squeeze UNDER the gate. they are quite thin! (not flat) after all (: hahaha, theres photo of elaine stuck under too!!!! upload later. so the problem with the jumping is not the barbed wires, its the gigantic red ants which are all over the wire! terrible. one bite is worst than if you got pricked by the wire xD haha, being so proud njPAjumpers, we decided to do a pa cheer outside the gate. THERES A VIDEO. but i cant upload too ): siyuan then went home and the rest of us went out!

took 174 to city hall mrt, and then we strolled to suntec city. walked around the fountain 2x before we decided to go to swensens. ordered for the whole table to share! oh what a family, and also bought a cake to celebrate nic's birthday that is coming soon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! food and company were great, but service was terrible. horrible. i wonder why the service charge is 7%! it should be -7%! bastard. how dare they kick us out of the restaurant! we are customer! the king! -.- but aniwae, lets not dwell on that, we ate platter, baked rice, pizza, soup, and pasta! haha, thats almost everything :p wrapped the cake and then we went to esplanade to eat the cake.

reached esplanade and rooftop was already closed! so we decided to go out and sit beside the river and eat our ice-cream cake! haha, we also played with the dry ice! and levon just knew that usually the smoke came from dry ice in wedding! haha, funny. ate and crapped alot. photos too! then we realise that. uh shit, lets catch the last train. haha.. but again, we strolled to the MRT! ahaha, and when we arrived at the mrt station, there were only 2 trains, last to pasir ris and last to kranji. lucky for me, huzi, and nic! haha, but not lucky for hw, elaine, and levon! and worst zq! haha, ZQ face was priceless when he missed the last train. aniwae, suddenly we saw the NIGHTRIDER! and then we split into two groups! the nightriders and the smrters. (: nic drop at bishan, huzi at angmokio and me at admiraly. when i reached the station, hsiangwei called me to ask about bustop because apparently they couldnt find the correct bustop! haha, so poor thing. then i reached home and went to sleep.

and today, as usual church and tuition! then went to causeway to meet ivan, elaine and huzi (again) haha, to catch UNTRACEABLE. movie review: usual plot, but the idea is quite good, but quite unrealistic too :\ and worst, the method of killing is not creative at all, after you watched the saw series. haha, then after that we went to play timezone! haha, me and my pathetic paper card desparately trying to go to VIP and then suddenly we saw a VIP powercard left by some person! haha, so we hurry up take and then check the value. value left $00.80, so we went to top up $10. then i asked, whats the accumulated value inside? the cashier gave us the gold membership form and told me $102.80. i was like WTF! we got a gold card!!! found my driver cd for this laptop, so i managed to install some driver to get me online (: hehe, so lucky (: and tmr i guess ill go to the repair center. i guess. aha, abit lazy and i dunno how to plan for tmr! i got no work tmr! ): ): ): oh nooo. what am i supposed to do! i hope keith ask me to come soon and the doctor reply my email soon too.

i miss my classes already. should i go to school tommorow before i go to the repair shop?

a tribute to my lovely HP COMPAQ NC4400

oh why we have to part. this will be the last night im using you, dear, and also the last night posting on this blog together with you. oh i hate to say goodbye to you, you have been a lovely companion, fast, and reliable. you know what i need, and you are always there when i need you. unlike others, you are so thin, and light, and you have a hot body, i like to bring you around. the feeling of touching you is so nice, your keys are so soft and bouncy. im sorry that i need to leave you, and im even more sorry because i have to erase all your memories of me, it will be a trouble if anyone knows what we did together, dear. please forgive me. i promise it'll be quick and painless, and you wont remember anything about me again.

and in fact you wont remember anything after i FORMATTED you, you cant even BOOT! Hahahaha, okay that paragraph is so full of crap! but yes, im sad. if you havent notice, the paragraph above refers to this laptop im using now, compaq nc4400! -.- and this also may be my last post before long, cause i dont think i can go online with my pentium -1 toshiba satellite laptop. ahahah, im gonna bring it to repair as soon as possible!

so what i need to do after i go offline is: burn my downloads, final check of leftover data, final cleanup, insert the recovery cd, press R for recovery console, FORMAT D: drive. then poof. disappear. i hope i dont make trouble. xD

and anyway, im here to say that the NUH person replied me! this time is not the inefficient secretary anymore, but is a Doctor with a capital D. :S and he said the period for the job shadowing is 1 week, i can start either on 14th april or 21st april. so darn it. it clashes with my school job! i guess tmr ill go find keith and ask for his permission. i hope everything goes well! to the believers, pray for me. to the unbelievers, at least cross your fingers XD i want both. im greedy :p

other than that, today jeremy (the IT person of the school) came to me and tell me that im taking over his job! wah im quite shocked. yes he told me that he is leaving for some other company, but i never thought that ill replace him! so to cut things short, he taught me some things, and i think will continue to teach me school IT stuffs till he leave on next tuesday. BUT BUT, the most important thing is, i told him that i cant even access KM! and he gave my account admin rights to KM! oh i didnt expect that. but with great power come great responsibility you know. they give me a compaq NC4400, with a GUEST account restriction. or just some lame very restricted account access to the laptop. no power, no responsibility. i got the admin rights (with some inside information) crash the OS, install a new os, and completely change the laptop! :X oh albert is gonna kill me if he knows :P BUT! if you give me the admin rights already, to KM summore! i can PLAY WITH THE 2-people-that-i-hate-the-most's accounts in NJ! (you know who) change their picture, password, username or whatever! i can even delete them from the school system! hahaha, but im not gonna do that. haha, dont worry. great power, greater responsibility (:

and if i cant go online for these few days, oh no, i cant live without internet ): how. nooooooo. better storm the toshiba service centre fast!

oh and elaine told me that my english/writing style has improved. aahahahaha, thanks! hehe, but the most probable reason is that you have met alot of people with lousier english in your workplace, so relatively, mine become better. XD hahahahaa.. okay, so this will be the last post with this compaq.

ohh last lesson with s19 and s21 tmr!

design & technology, wth.

okay, we start with yesterday. no post yesterday because when i went home, after i ate dinner and took bath, i started transferring data from my phone to this computer, cos i want to burn everything in this laptop to dvds (because i need to part with this laptop tmr ):) okay, so when i was transferring 1.6GB of data using a USB data cable, it took like 40 minutes. so i got on my bed, waiting, wait wait wait, suddenly dark, and woke up. 5.25am. just NICE, 5 minutes before my alarm ring. WHAT THE HECK. crap, i wasted the whole night. T.T never went online, never do any work, never backup any data! lucky i still got today to back everything up.

oh yes, today i MUST backup everything, and destroy this fake OS in this laptop, come with no sound, leave with no trace. haha, the bad thing is, my slow laptop has gone FAR slower. it took half an hour to startup, and another half an hour to shutdown. i cant press anything when the computer is on, because it wont respond! too lag! overload of data, installation files, registry, quarantined virus and trojans, etc etc, and WORST is my fan refused to spin (as a result of hitting it over and over again) so, the processor can only work in its SLOWEST speed. the speed that doesnt generate any heat and doesnt require cooling from the fan. its like, slower than pentium 0. oh great, toshiba service centre, where are you?

haha, yesterday was council election day, quite fun looking at people, going around the school, observing events, playing cards (which you shouldnt do during event and in the end got scolded by zp xD) haha, good event IC. (: and yes, just stay in the hall control for the rest of the day till 730pm. haha, it seems like last year before handover xD

and you know what, this morning KEITH came to me and said, "i think you will start your work next week, but im still not sure what day, im waiting for school's approval. you will be helping on college day, and also designing curriculum for the new IP -1 and 0 (which are the sec1 and sec2s, as it goes ip-1, ip0,ip1,2,3,4) designing curriculum for the subject of DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY, im sure you are very suitable for this job as you are very well equipped with your PA knowledge and you can use that to plan the curriculum." okay, thats what he said. oh man. the stupid NUH person haven't contact me yet, so HOW? i want this job! but i also need the internship ):

ohman. im at my table in the staffroom now, this is my 2nd last day sitting here. i think. and later lesson at 1.10pm with 08s21. oh man. oh man.

its 3 more days to the end of my work as a relief teacher, and since tomorrow is a council election campaigning day, i wont get any salary x( haha..

aniwae, today is my last day teaching 08s08. though initially i dont really like the class (because they are like dead dead quiet), but ive grown to like them. and it feel so sad to leave. ahh, find it so hard to say 'today is my last lesson with you all' because i really dont want it to be the last one )': and i just heard from one of them, jinkai i think, that their class really never talk during lesson, and getting them to answer question or ask question can be considered a miracle. and i thot its because of other reasons. sigh, why i only know this on the last day. on the day that i got closer to them and the day where suddenly theres (relatively) alot of answers and questions. AH, ill miss you all 08s08ian!

friday will be my last with 08s19 and 08s21. ohh noooooo.. this shucks.

but anyway, if im LUCKY, i MAY get another job in NJ! whooo, keith tan told me that he need help for college day, so the job maybe a project basis. but i want a full-time job, so currently his looking into it, and if finally he find something for me to do, ill be staying in NJ! (i guess) YEA (: haha, still can meet all my juniors and students. just that i wont be teaching them anymore ):

since its my last week (perhaps), i want to spend more time in school. so from today and onwards till friday, i will stay in ctrl till everyone leaves xD haha, unless the authorities kicks me out :p hehe, so today stayed to play GERMAN BRIDGE with the 2 QMs, and i won! (i think) because of the final game :p, then rush off to meet ty to go home. (sorry to make you late! haha, i cant find my wallet which is under the cdplayer :P) haha, so long never take bus with her. so got alot to gossip about! and suddenly its her stop already, 1 hr ride so fast if got gossip! HAHAHA, PA now is full of gossips and scandals hor. the tagboard is flowing faster than shitting. tmr will take SCANDALOUS photos during the event. EHEHEHEHE, watch out for this paparazzi! :p
