.. Not diffraction.. dispersion. The angle where the particular color appears, yes, determined by snell's law.. But as to how the white light became 7 colours.. its dispersion.

Diffration.. requires waves to pass through slits of length comparable to wavelength. Where is the slit here lol..

Seems like you need to revise your Physics Tutorial II haha..
