PA Handover camp'08

These past 3 days of PA camp seems like a dream, it completely separate me from the real life. i guess its like a vacation for me, and i wanna thank PA '0708 exco for organising it so well (: thanks guys, final mission accomplished (:

so, prepare for a long post :S

1st day! monday, 2nd june '08
Woke up on time! you should know that im a latecomer, but never for such a long awaited camp. june camp has always been something that im looking for every year (: met tingyun at her bustop to go to school together. reached school at 830am, brought her to amphi, met cass (ONLY) there. then i went to meet the seniors at the hall control.

then we went down together for the briefing and the usual ICE BREAKER!!! haha, played dog and bone and also elope. dog and bone was quite tough and confusing, cos as usual we used pa terms. haha, and elope was a very nice game cos there were 2 couples to annoy.. haahhaha.. fun (: after that they went to bunk.

next activity was small group training, groups are separated and sent to three different posts, LT5 for the new sunlite intelligent lighting, LT1 for the old Strand MX lighting, and also GO for the morning assembly training. then they all gather at GYM and did gym training. we also played abit of basketball and soccer and rope climbing XD, then all went up to recap stereo system. and just to let you know, that were the ONLY trainings. new style, cool (:

lunch was next, and then there was mock training. Ziquan was the overall IC, the two venues IC were grace at LT1 and Yineng at hall. event was quite well prepared but VERY WELL SCREWED by US. hahaha, the screwie MCs. had really alot of fun screwing the crew. but i must say mok was very calm and composed and good job people (: oh, and xiaozhi came too! yayyy! TOs unite :p

then we had station games! made me recalled my old times (': it was really fun to see the J1s during the games, how the guys all strip after mok started stripping, and how they COMPLAIN to do the CATERPILLAR game on the NEW SYNTHETIC field! oy! we did it on solid rock and dirty soil! haha.. saw how lousy is one group in playing transporting the things on the grandstand steps. also made a group to pump and we cracked egg on their heads because they pour watermelon liquid on levon's hair. fun fun and fun (:

oh before that, me and huzi played street soccer at the basketball court with the nj Badminton guys who are also having camp during that time (: thats where my blisters came from.

after the station games was washing up time and then we went to linkway for a short big screen setup demonstration. cos they have to set it up during the mok event on day 2. met kayhow and mouse during that time, and talked abit (: really made me remember of the past times. after that was heart to heart session and then its sleeping time!

spent the 1st night of the camp sorting out photos, collecting them from different places and grouping them altogether. after that deleting most of the photos that will not be in the video. was very troublesome because i keep trying to install premiere pro at ivans laptop without any result. ): slept at 3am at control chair, VERY UNCOMFY. got to catch abit of soo's pillowfight before i went to sleep and slept with radio on my ear the whole time. haha. woke up at around 5am and move to outside hall control, the chair made my butt rot, cant take it. got to catch abit of young and histen before i got back to sleep :p

2nd day! tuesday, 3rd june '08

woke up at around 830am just when they started doing their 2nd mock event. if i dont remember wrongly cass was the overall IC. washed up, and then went to LT 5 to play wii with the rest :p. got kicked by harmoc people, so me moved to linkway to continue the mock event. it was screwed there. and i homerunned 2 times :P i think there was weeleng there.

after that we went to the bunk area, TA block for EXTERNAL HUNT BRIEFING! haha, psychoed niclim to go to the external hunt and pon the harmoc rehearsal :p i dont want him to feel the regret that i felt last year for not going for the external hunt. and its for real, this year external hunt was completely fun the whole time. HAHA, i got a FUN GROUP! YAY. thanks to levon, cass, hsiangwei, ling2, hazel and shoujin (and yibo) for the very fun external hunt (: oh, and met hanyang too!

first we took 171, and everyone FOLLOWED US to take 171. hahaha, stopped at the last stop to go to suntec by marina sq. went to our 1st station which is M3. hahaha its EW seen backwards! hahaha, i din know what was it but apparently yibo knows all the station o.O not bad. hahaha.. so we finally went to Engwah with cass finally knowing what it is, took some pictures that apparently i dont have yet. i still dont have all the photos from levon's camera! ill post it after i got them. 2nd station was the fountain of wealth, they did the tied leg thing. levon was really a strict IC, and asked them to repeat the run for the 2nd time. haahha, after that was pepper lunch and sadly cass and ling2 had to go back to school after that.

third station was the sky garden at suntec which they took SUPER VERY LONG to find out, but finally they found it out themself. (: then its carrefour where we bought ben and jerrys! (: while me and yibo went to queue for it, they went to toys' r us for the 5th station. we decided to met at the main entrance to go to the open area under esplanade next. apparently they couldn't find their way to the main entrance!!! hahaha, does that means me and yibo has been guiding them all along? :P hahahahaha.. and then we went to the underground area to shout pa cheer. combined with kz's group to do it together. after that is the merlion to do the signature and the photographs.

then there was padang, and they need 4 people for this station. i ended up filling up the empty space. the message that was passed is weird, but finally i know the reason behind that funny message. hahaha, then we went to 7/11 to refresh ourself after the running. with the very underaged hazel and the underaged hsiangway asked me to get them a breezer -.-. while chak and yibo got themselves some vodka and another breezer -.- then we walked all the way to NLB and got dissapointed because when we reached there, kz group has already finished their last station. OH MAN. felt so sad, but we cheered ourselves up. definitely the funnest froup. and APPARENTLY according to siyuan, their group cheats alot! so by default, we WON. WE WON. HAHAHAHA. yays.

and again, me, chak and yibo lead the crew to the bustop back to nj. HAHAHA. stopped at fairprice to get ourself some snacks for the long night ahead. we overbuy! apparently spent 70+ on the foodstock. mel said she was frightened when i claimed from her XD sorry mel! missed the sidegate when we reached nj! haha, but that dont stop the lazy crews from going by the shortest path. EHEHEHE, with one smooth slide levon went through under the gate o.O, i jumped over, followed by hsiangwei. passed all the things we bought over the gate. niclim tried to follow levon and got under the gate. he got stuck halfway and decided to walk with the rest to maingate. hahaha.

barbeque was next, and this time, the seniors didnt need to do anything! HAHAHA XD because bribery was all over the place, all the juniors tried to bribe the seniors XD AHAHAHAHA, or so how it seems to look :p fun fun fun (: zp nicely entertain my request to play muttons on the community stereo system, and the juniors just keep giving us food food and more food :p BRIBERY. the seniors just sat down there and laugh. :p i love my brown marshmellows (:

night activity was the next and final game of the camp. that is the part where i really laughed my ass off throughout, cried out loud until my tear all came out. it was super hillarious! okay, started with the 1st group, tingyuns group! me and ivan had the very idea of separating them and imitating their move. it worked very well on the 1st group! hahahaha. brought them to canteen for the 1st obstacle and then left to do the 2nd group. haha, it was hsiangweis and cass' group. we did the same thing but it doesnt really work well for this group because hazel cant be separated from cass at all! hahaha, she really reminded me of cass at ip1. and hsiangwei and cass are really very unseparated during the night trail! apparently they recognised each other hand by just the sense of touch, and everytime they finally find the correct person, they hugged each other so we cant separate them. AHAHAHA. next group was moks and joseph group. it was fun separating joseph from the rest and let him get surrounded by small kids from the other camp :X it was also really funny seeing the other group members cant even recognise his voice! hahaha, they keep saying 'kaizhong, stop misleading us' when joseph is trying to get back to the group. HAHAHA.

at the canteen obstacle station, hsiangwei kicked the mop 2x and it hit him on the groin. me and ivan just fell down and laugh at that stupid moment. group 3 is not any better, katsun a.k.a tsunami felt the stick of the mop and decided to act clever and pulled it out. it swung and hit the person infront of him. i fell down and laughed again.

then me and ivan tried to find the 1st group, but we found the 2nd group instead, zhiping's and levon's group. we decided to stick with them. we started with making them lick wasabi, blowing bubbles on them, making them walk pass rope obstacle, and making rain for them. levon fell on her own trick, she slipped on the wet ground, spent a few second dancing there to keep her balanced, but finally fell flat on the groud spoiling her slipper. another LOL moment there. then we bring them around the same place, made hsiangwei smell rubbish bin and finally got them to sit in a circle and getting the rest of the group to surround them and then we shouted the loudest PA cheer during the camp there. shiok.

got a birthday wish phone call from ryan and wenhao during that time, and after that we went for washup, and met tingyun halfway infront of the bunk where she wished me. then the others also started. hahaha, nice start xD then we went to LT5 control for the FINAL meeting.

exco selection meeting was FAST! 3am+ finished already! hahahah.. but nevertheless, i also think that this new exco is the best combination. im so lucky that the choice is never really against my choices :p like ivan said on that night, that the 0708 exco was my perfect exco choice. and im happy with my choice (: of course, the content of the meeting is a secret that will expire on next year june camp XD

MARK MY WORD, I WILL GO TO NEXT YEAR JUNE CAMP :D if im invited la. hahaha.

3rd day! wednesday, 4th june '08

woke upp at 930am and straight away continue on the video (after washing up of course :p) the juniors did their last mock event and cleaning session. rushed like mad on the video, ended up in just a short 15mins video. i still feel that the photo transition is too fast! 15 mins is short for such a long work ): i hope the j2s enjoyed the video. :x

then its the handover ceremony. for some reason, every handover period makes my heart race. i was nervous, dunno why. but it ended up well, with samuel replacing mazalan. he didnt even come for the handover day! aiyah, quite dissapointing. not even a teacher there. but handover, as usual is the very sad and happy period. i felt the feelings i felt again, this time i felt both the feelings when i received the position, and when i handover the position.

after that is the usual champagne popping and then exco briefing. then we head to mcs for dinner aft camp, and then cabbed home with tingyun.

thats all for june camp '08. there are still alot of things i wanna post about pa, but for today, camp post is enough, tommorow will be another post about pa (:

did you remember march camp '07, heart to heart session that was led by mingxuan? if you dont, try to recall it.

he asked you, "so far, what do you feel about pa?" and i clearly remembered, each one, everyone of you there said, "i love pa!"

then, i said, "nah, its too fast for you to say those 3 words now." although some didnt like the way i said those words, i have my own reasons.

i really really do love njPA. its my family. when i hear someone said those words, i dont want it to be just a meaningless sentence that everyone can say.

and now, njPA '0708, can you really say, "I LOVE PA!" from your heart?"
